Let's break open the barriers

 There are many people in this world that have faced discrimination, in particular, the workplace and it has been going on to this day. This has been the main problem for many businesses as many workers desire money, desire promotion, etc. And let us not forget about the other people who are working their best just to make the best output they can.

See: We observe first what is the problem, in this case, our problem is discrimination in the workplace, we can interview employees from various companies for them to explain their experiences. 

Judge: We judge the scenario by visualizing the experience of that person, if that person has been abused badly, then we would be able to know the solution for them. 

Act: Let us act upon ourselves and show the world about our plan, with the help of social media, we can be able to spread the word on the situation right now. 

Celebrate: We celebrate together through prayer, and we thank God for the gift of love and charity, and the guidance for this to go and tackle this issue ourselves. We also have to pray to give thanks for all the special abilities we have been gifted, as God has created us in his image and likeness, we are here for a purpose, and let us not waste it.

Evaluate: We see if the atmosphere of the workplace has begun to improve, people now respect, each other, and everyone is happy and safe, no one is left uncomfortable

According to the CST, human dignity can be protected and a healthy community can be achieved only if human rights are protected and maintained, and the responsibilities are met. Human dignity is a person's self-worth, it adds a whole new level of respect towards others, and adds a special value intrinsic to humanity. Our human dignity can shape our human rights which can be useful for the common good. 


Laws: There are many laws that have been placed by the government to further prevent discrimination in the workplace

Employment rights Act of 1996 Part 43C, that to be treated by the purpose of this part as masking a qualifying disclosure to that said worker.” This means that being treated equally is a qualification for a business in the UK, and that all the employees should be paid equally depending on the position.

Equality Act of 2010 (Section 13), when a person (A) dominates over another person (B), then that person (A) must treat that other person (B) or would treat the other workers.

Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, protects employees and job applicants from employment discrimination. It also protects the full list of tackling things that are needed when recruiting  a new worker

Equal Pay Act of 1963. It protects both men and women from sex-based wage discrimination, in the payment of wages or benefits.

Workplace Equality Act of 2012. It aims to protect and empower both men and women in the workplace


Claretian Values: When it comes to us as a Claretian, we always value the C.H.E.E.R.S, we not only use it for school, but we can also use it in other places and for other people. This is what all businesses should use as the guidelines for all its employees. We are compassionate to one another, we are humbled to do our tasks, we show excellence to our work, we empower others to become better, we respect others for life, and we are in the service for others.


What can the youth do: Of course considering that many students are quarantined because of the pandemic, it makes sense if we integrate social media into this, as the first app they open is a social media platform and checks the notification. It is also time for the youth to understand the differences between men and women in the workplace and why are they treated differently. This can also encourage them to show their talents and skills to anyone, as the passion within us will make us successful. 

Organizations: There are many organizations that are tackling this issue and the most popular one being "UN Women" which was organized by the United Nations which their goal of this organization is to, create an environment in which every woman can exercise her own rights and bring their full potential. They are going to have an event on November 5 where they are gonna demonstrate the interaction of women and women's organization in their own words.
